Since October I've been focusing on my first year of A level and doing lots more performing acts stuff (which I hope to somehow bring into these blogs too- theatre reviews, videos and pictures etc)! My exams happening at the moment so it's revision revision revision at the moment however I think this blog will be a nice escape from it when I can find the time! I only have one left now anyway! Hooray! It's half term at the moment so I've been at home a lot doing work and occasionally popping out for shopping or meeting friends. Then after my exams I start my second year of A Levels. However work won't be as serious as it is at the moment so I will have a lot more time for things like this and maybe even some covers on Youtube (fingers crossed I don't wuss out!). Things I plan on putting on here is just the odd beauty review, maybe some hauls and any other opinions I have or exciting things that happen to me.
In this post I'll be writing a little review of an Easter product from the beauty shop Lush which I have been wanting to try since the new seasonal stuff came out. That product is the Golden Egg! My sister works at one of the biggest Lush stores in the UK where she goes to uni so she gets a 50% ( YES 50%!) discount, which is amazing for me as it means I get a lot of Lush related presents now and then. For example for Christmas I got the £100 Lush WOW! box which she only paid £50 for... BARGAIN! Anyway she came back for the Easter weekend and presented me with this sparkling beauty...
Mine was slightly broken after the long journey my sister took it on to get it to me so if you were to buy this in the shop or online it would probably look much nicer than this.
So first off- its a bath bomb so meant only using it once. Now I usually save things like this... But instead of waiting for the right occasion when I'm incredibly tired or ill to make me feel better... I couldn't wait and used it the night after I was given it. Once it's been dropped into a hot bath immediately all the little bits of glitter come off and spread around the bath. It makes you feel like you're bathing in luxury! Unlike other products I've used in the past, the glitter doesn't cling to you after you've got out of the bath too. So you don't look like a disco-ball. (Sorry!)
Once the glitter has all vanished from the eggs outside the actual bath bomb begins to fizz and slowly turns the bath into a misty yellow colour. By the time the whole bomb has dissolved the water is a glorious bright yellow. This colour fits in with the season so I can see why they've done this as it works really well! AND makes bath time a bit jollier with the bright colour and sparkles!
I really love this product and am definitely going out to buy another before the new season stuff comes out! I really recommend you go out and buy one before they're gone. It's like spring in an egg (new name lush?).
That's all from me in this post! Happy Easter, enjoy it and eat lots of chocolate! I know I will!
See you next post... which I WILL do! :)
Cheerios!
